What advantage or value does BOSS LASER offer compared to other laser companies?

BOSS LASER takes pride in designing and building quality laser systems that meet the demands of business professionals, at prices even a small shop can afford. Utilizing quality component manufacturers from around the world BOSS LASER has developed a truly industrial grade system providing years of trouble free operation. Much like a new desktop computer, our laser internal electronics are state of the art industry standards, allowing for swapping, upgrading and finding suitable high quality replacement parts. Of course BOSS LASER maintains a large inventory of parts for all our systems guaranteeing minimal down time in the event something does go wrong. Of this you can be sure, your BOSS LASER system will never be down because of custom made parts no longer available.

As far as our process is concerned we design and engineer our own laser machines in house then select proven laser components for manufacturing and assembly. After we thoroughly QA each machine we proudly warranty it 100% – and our reviews speak for us. While we strive to keep our laser machines affordable, we do so without sacrificing quality or usability. We are not interested in promoting “functional”, low quality, laser units that force you to figure out a home made fix to get operational. We are setting a standard that we are proud of and one that you’ll appreciate and rely upon for years to come.

How much money can I make with a laser cutter or engraver?

That depends on what product or service and how well you can market it of course. But, we have clients that use one or more of our laser cutters to create anything from signs to laser engraving services to all types of custom or personalized items like baseball bats, leather purses, mobile power bank chargers made of aluminum and even laser cut stainless steel parts. Our laser machines have proven to be reliable for both prototyping and demanding production environments for the purpose of making money.

What Applications or Types of materials can your CO2 or Fiber lasers cut, mark, or engrave?

The CO2 wavelength makes our industrial CO2 laser cutters ideally suited for all types of organic materials such as wood, acrylic, leather, plastics, fabrics, etc. The CO2 laser wavelength is not efficient at metal cutting which is why we offer a line of fiber laser cutting and marking machines. Treated metals that have been coated with Thermark or painted can be etched with a CO2 laser, however. For example painted brass, anodized aluminum, or any other treated metal are ideal for CO2 lasers to etch or engrave.

How precise is the laser cutter?

Machine tolerances vary by product, but you can be sure every machine we sell has laser precision. Some down to a repeatability tolerance of +/- .002″.

How long does it take to learn how to understand and run the laser?

The good news is that even if you’re not too technically savvy, our start up manuals, videos, and phone support team can help you get your laser cutter set up and running easily within an hour. If you are a business and want to make sure your operator(s) can start processing material quickly you can opt in for our On-Site support. With On-Site Support we come to you and spend at least a full day teaching you or your operator(s) the basics of how the laser cutter works, how you can efficiently run jobs, and finally how to easily maintain the machine.

If you are already familiar with using standard graphics design software like CorelDRAW or Adobe Illustrator you will be able to design your artwork there then export the artwork to the LightBurn laser interface. If you don’t have any graphics software, don’t worry you won’t have to go out and spend $500 or more for design software. Boss Laser offers LightBurn software at a low cost for our CO2 and Fiber Marking machines. LightBurn is a “Made in the USA” all-in-one editing, layout, and control software package that is very intuitive and easy to use.

Besides that, all that is necessary is to adjust the laser power and speed settings to the material that you decide to use. And we can provide you with a simple laser settings reference guide for popular materials..

I like CO2 laser technology but don't want to adapt to a new design interface or graphics software?

The good news is that if you already own and understand one of the more popular graphic programs like CorelDraw, Photoshop or Autocad you’ve already done the hard part. A BOSS LASER will act much like any printer attached to your PC or laptop, instead of printing you’ll be cutting or engraving or both. However, if you’re just getting your feet wet with laser machines and graphics programs, we include laser design interface software for your laser along with an easy to read software guide so you can start cutting and engraving
