If you are using a TIG welder, you can make a solid weld more efficiently and with less waste by doing the “step and pause” method. Just move the arc along the joint and then pause while add filler rod. This helps you sharpen fewer electrodes and allows you total concentration without dabbing filler rod along the path of the weld.
