Many metal fabricators by their nature are makers and the epitome of DIY. Many of them purchase off-brand welders and equipment for projects, along with customizing them for specific duties. However, there is something to be said about owning a name-brand welder.
Getting a branded-welder such as a Lincoln, Miller, or even European brands suchas ESAB could be helpful in the long term. Many of these welders last longer than non-branded machines and come with warranties should they need repair or replacement. They’re usually built for convenience and high results, which cannot be said of other welders. If you weld regularly, it might be time to invest in a branded machine in order to reap those benefits.
