A CNC expert at Digital Craft Research Lab at the University of Wisconsin has found a way to include color into your acrylic laser engravings. By raster engraving a piece of acrylic, you can spread a colored dye power on top of it, then repeat the engraving again at a lower power and higher speed to melt the dye into your engraving.
